Jess Xiaoyi Han (b. 1997 in Dalian, China) has lived between New York and Shanghai for most of her life and is currently based in Brooklyn, New York. She received her BFA from School of Visual Arts (SVA) with a concentration in illustration. Working with alkyd paint, Han utilizes an expressional color palette to create soft, organic shapes, reflecting on her inner fantasy world. Her work examines and reflects the artist's interior emotional dialogue. She has exhibited her work extensively in China, with exhibitions at Bridge Gallery, Sanya; The Himalaya Center, Shanghai; Zero Art Space, Zhengzhou; Yes! Art Fair, Beijing; Tasso Gallery. Most recently, Han has had her debut solo exhibition in New York City at Ross + Kramer, entitled Implosion.
